Banksy’s ‘Sirens of the Lambs’ Tours New York

Banky’s provocative new work ‘Sirens of the Lambs’ has been seen touring the streets of New York; marking a shift in his usual modus operandi from street art to something more akin to performance art. 

The piece, which is currently being displayed around New York’s meatpacking district, features a slaughterhouse delivery truck kitted out with animatronic stuffed animals, including cows, chickens, rabbits and pandas.

Although the point of the piece is, as usual, left open to interpretation, a logical inference would be that it’s a provocative statement regarding the treatment of animals bred specifically for their meat. In any case, it’s been turning heads in the US and the video below shows you what thousands in the Big Apple are currently seeing:
