Anxiety is a particularly disabling condition, and can make everyday life a terrible struggle. Graphic designer Charlotte Gomez has created a series of humorous illustrations to shed some light on the subject.
Showing the gulf between what we say and what we think, these drawings give an inside look into the world of an anxiety sufferer and go some way to explaining the disorder to those fortunate enough not to experience it. Even a simple statement can be interpreted a number of ways, and in the case of anxiety, usually negatively. When people make art about issues like this they open up dialogue which leads to a greater understanding of our fellow human beings.
