The Zoological Society of London has just unveiled the winning images of the ZSL Animal Photography Prize 2015. The competition, now in it’s fourth year, attracted over 450 entrants from around the world, with winners chosen by an expert panel of judges including TV personalities Bill Oddie and Kate Humble.
The competition, which aims to inspire wonder in the natural world and raise awareness of the species facing extinction, has six thought-provoking categories: The Birds and the Bees, Deep and Meaningful, Last Chance to See, The Perfect Moment, Size Matters, and Weird and Wonderful. Adult and junior winners were selected from each, as well as two overall winners of the prestigious Judge’s Choice Award, all receiving a share of the £10,000 prize fund.
ZSL’s Director General Ralph Armond said: “For the fourth year running we have been impressed by the standard of the images entered into the ZSL Animal Photography Prize, with magnificent entries submitted not only by adults, but in the junior categories too, which only reaffirms our belief in the importance of rousing people of all ages to work for wildlife”.

Water Ballet by Sally Kilpin – Adult Winner, Deep and Meaningful
The full exhibition is on display at ZSL London Zoo until 28th February 2016.
