Hip-Hop Inspired Cover Remixes from Marvel Comics

By -

Marvel Comics and hip-hop music aren’t two things that most people would instinctively put together, but like a lot of the world’s greatest odd but successful combinations, the two go together brilliantly.

At the end of last week Marvel Comics announced that they would be remixing more than 50 covers of their popular titles to pay homage to iconic hip-hop album covers. In their press release, Marvel Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso said:

For years, Marvel Comics and hip-hop culture have been engaged in an ongoing dialogue. Beginning this October, we will shine a spotlight on the seamless relationship between those two unique forces.

We’ve included some of our favourite covers below – see if you can guess the music covers being referenced:

Ant Man

Enter the Squad

Dr Strange

Kamala Khan

Iron Man

Howard the Duck

Sam Wilson

Extraordinary X Men
